it comes to school shopping for children, I have always allowed my children to
pick what they wanted and it wasn't a problem paying for it but now bills are
catching up (since I am now staying at home with them full-time). More...
Last year my very outgoing 8 year old daughter and I went shopping for clothes. She loves the mall's store and to you parents out there with a preteen probably know what store I am talking about. You know the store that you go into and can not believe that they actually sell pants in a children's size 7 for $65.00. Amazing. Well, what we did is we went to the expensive stores first and we tried clothes on and took pictures of them on in a dressing room. Then we visited discount stores outside the mall such as Target and Wal-Mart. With no surprise my daughter learned the value of a dollar quickly. She could not believe that stores that were right across the street from each other could sell similar items for for so much less. It was a great day. She learned and I learned that we should look around before we buy, and a 2-inch label should not mean the difference in paying an additional $45.00. My daughter truly loved comparing the pictures on the digital camera at the stores. That was the true money saving tip help.
