If you are struggling with your finances and are not sure what to do next, we are here to help! One of the great secrets to Living a Better Life is that it’s not about being able to spend MORE money! It’s about enjoying and managing what you already have… BETTER! Here is a brief list of our resources that we feel may be the most helpful to you at this time… we also have hundreds more on the site and many that are highlighted in our free ezine each month. Free Newsletter: (If you have not subscribed yet!) We offer a free subscription to "Living a Better Life: The Free Money-Saving Tips Ezine." This is our monthly newsletter packed full of useful information and articles to help you learn more about saving money and household budgeting each month. www.betterbudgeting.com/subscribe Free Ebook: If you have already subscribed to the newsletter, did you read your free ebook "Dealing with Debt" that was included in your Welcome letter? With your subscription to the newsletter comes a free copy of this ebook by Michelle Jones, Founder and Publishing Editor of Blue Ridge Publishing, Inc. (that's me!). This is an inspirational book that may help to encourage you--even if you are not in debt. If you need another copy of the ebook just reply to the latest newsletter when it arrives in your inbox and let us know. Free Printable
Budgeting Forms: We offer free printable worksheets to help you get started budgeting your income. www.betterbudgeting.com/budgetformsfree 5-Week Budgeting Class: If you want more personal help setting up a budget, I teach a 5-week budgeting class several times throughout the year (this course has a very small fee just to cover additional administrative costs). During the class I answer student emails personally and walk them through the process of setting up a budget and getting back on track. BetterBudgeting.com has been a free service since it began in 2001 and the budgeting class is completely optional. More information is available at www.betterbudgeting.com/budgetingclass Frugal Family Recipes
Cookbook: If you like to cook (and save money) you might be interested in my frugal cookbook which offers over 100 of our family's favorite recipes for cooking on a budget. A printed edition is available but we recommend the ebook because there are no shipping costs! www.betterbudgeting.com/frugalcookbook Grocery Saving Tips: We also have an entire website dedicated to saving on groceries! (If you're in the U.S. be sure to check out the free printable coupons!) www.grocerysavingtips.com Living a Better Life
Column: Check out my column archives for many articles on budgeting, frugal living and saving money. (And all of our Senior Writers have a column index as well, just click on their name whenever you're reading one of their articles and would like to see more!) www.betterbudgeting.com/columns/livingabetterlife Here are just a few of
our favorites from my previous columns…
Consumer Credit
Counseling Services: If your financial difficulties are overwhelming and you feel you cannot handle them on your own, even with all the help that we offer, please contact your local not-for-profit CCCS office (their official foundation name is National Foundation for Consumer Credit, Inc.). This is the ONLY credit counseling service that we recommend... although there are many good companies out there, there are also many that are not good (who charge high fees for their services) and their company names are probably made similar to confuse the consumer. CCCS has a national Web site where you can search for your local office or you can contact the National Foundation for Consumer Credit, Inc. by mail at 8611 Second Avenue, Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD 20910-3372 or call toll free 1-800-388-CCCS. www.nfcc.org Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to help you manage your finances "BETTER," we hope our articles and resources will be a blessing to you and your family!!! * * * Copyright © 2007 by Michelle Jones, author of Dealing with Debt, Frugal Family Recipes and Basic Budget Planning... for Those Who Hate to Budget.
